Thank goodness. I'm mentally exhausted. Finals week is going to kill me. On one day of finals week, I have a calculus final in the morning, and physics final in the afternoon, and then a communications final at night. I'm transferring schools yet again. I got accepted into Cal State Long Beach's aerospace program for spring 2009, so I'll be starting school there in January. Now that I'm finally in an aerospace program, I'll be staying. No more college transferring for me. I only went to CSU Fullerton for one semester, so I probably won't really count it. So years from now when people ask where I got my bachelors degree from, I'll say I went to U of O my freshman year, and then transferred to CSU Long Beach. That's the story of my life right now. We have taken two exams in this class. Result of exam #1: A-. Result of exam #2: A.

Class #2) History. We have also taken two exams in this class. Result of exam #1: C. Result of exam #2: D.

Shouldn't the test results for these classes be swapped? The A's should come in the easier history class, and the borderline passing grades should be in the difficult science courses. I guess it's time to get serious about my history class. But in my defense, my history professor writes very difficult exams. Most people are getting C's and D's on these history exams. It's not just me. I don't know about you, but subjects that completely bore me to death (history) are hard to get serious about. I guess I'll just dominate the last couple of quizzes and final exam. Then I'll get a nice B in the class.

Enjoy your day.

I like the fall season

Fact: The semester system drags on forever. How are you doing? Oh yea? That is pretty interesting. I'm doing well, thank you for asking. Although I am a little tired from my first week of school.

That was me having a conversation with you. Wasn't it entertaining? I agree.

So if you haven't heard, I got into Cal State Fullerton, and I just finished my first week of school . It was pretty good, but it will be a rough and long semester, because I'm taking some pretty difficult classes. I think I will now tell you my story of getting accepted to Fullerton. When I was trying to find schools that I could potentially transfer to, I found it pretty difficult to find schools that would accept my application. This is because most colleges require transfer students to have at least 60 semester units/90 quarter units completed (about two years of school) in order to be admitted. But the nursing program at Fullerton was accepting transfer students, regardless of the amount of credits completed. Thus, I am enrolled as a nursing student at CSUF. But I only plan to stay here for this school year (or just one semester if things work out how I'd prefer) so it's not that big of a deal that I completely lied to admissions. I'm not taking any pre-nursing classes, I'm just taking all pre-engineering classes. I know what you're thinking, and I agree, I am indeed sneaky. So once I apply and transfer schools yet again, and hopefully get into an aerospace engineering program somewhere, I will finally be at the college that I will get my degree from. Isn't that cute, that for my first three years of college, I will be at a different university? These three schools are privileged to have me.

Changing subjects now, I live about 5 miles down the street from Disneyland, so if you ever go there, maybe we can meet somewhere, beat down Mickey and the gang, and maybe set fire to a few buildings in the city. Sound good? Yeah, I agree.

Hope everyone is doing well.

One more thing...It's really hot in my apartment right now, and I'm starting to get sweaty. It's gross.

Boom Shakalaka

Hello friends and family. I know that I made this blog a while ago, and hardly ever go on to update anything. So let me bring you up to speed on what has been going on since I made this blog. I finished up my first year of college in June, I came home and started working at Dewey Pest Control with Scott, and I just got my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday. My wisdom teeth being extracted is really the only reason why I'm writing on my blog, because I'm stuck in my house with a fat swollen face, and have nothing to do. Vicodin is my best friend right now, so I'm not really in too much pain, but It's mildly entertaining to how swollen my checks have gotten. Maybe I'll take a picture and post it, but it is pretty ridiculous and embarrassing.
Let me now change the subject to college. If you didn't already know, my original plan going into college was to do pre-med/pre-dental, and I was planning on doing dentistry. Well, as many students do in college, I changed my mind. I decided that I'm going to go into engineering, like my old man. So at the beginning of August, I'm moving to Fullerton with some friends, I will be attending either cal state fullerton or san bernardino, co-enroll at cal poly for my into to engineering courses, and then eventually transfer into cal poly to get my engineering degree. So that's that for my schooling.
I don't have much left to say, so this will conclude my blog post. I hope that everyone is doing well, and I'll see you all around sooner or later. Take care.

Sometimes I don't wear socks with my shoes, so my feet smell

Yes, it's true, my feet are currently exuding a pretty mild odor, but that is irrelevant. The point of this post is for me to tell you about my current roommate, Quentin West. Quentin is from the Washington DC area, and is 20 years of age. He is of African American decent, and he is fluent in Chinese. Chinese is what brought him to the University of Oregon in the first place. Apparently we have a very good Chinese program here. Quentin lived in Beijing, China last year, and attended a university there. He would have stayed there, but he accidentally over stayed his visa by four days. This resulted in him being suspected to be a terrorist, so he got thrown in prison for about a month. He finally was released and deported back to the US. I suppose he wasn't welcome in China anymore, so here he is in Oregon, learning Chinese. Now that we've covered a bit of background information of him, let's get into what it's like living with him. I have only been living with Quentin for about 8 weeks now. Toward the beginning, he kept pretty quiet and busy, and was fairly easy to live with. As time progressed, I began to realize the daily rebellious activities he takes part in. Most every day, he smokes cannabis products, and he very frequently drinks. And lets just say that he's not drinking water. So there you have it, getting high and drunk are his most common activities. About 2-3 weeks ago, he completely stopped going to class. I'm pretty sure during week 6 or 7, he didn't go to one second of class time. What does he do with his time if he's not going to class? Well, he spends majority of his time attempting to play guitar. Let's just say that he should consider a new instrument or hobby, as him and the guitar were simply not made for each other. If you don't believe me, you can see him here:

http://www.hi5.com/friend/video/7578192--103942000--Elderly%2BWoman%2BBehind%2Ba%2BCounter--view-html

I highly recommend watching it and feel free to laugh at him during the little break he has when he takes those couple of intense blinks and tries to figure out what he's doing. By the looks of him, I'm going to guess he was high when he posted this video.

Yeah, that is what I will most typically have to listen to throughout the day. But that guitar playing doesn't compare to what I'm about to reveal. This is by far the worst thing that I have to deal with. Quentin will often go out with some guys on our floor, who share the same interest of always getting high and drunk, just because they have nothing else to do with their sorry lives. One night about a month ago, I noticed that he fell asleep in his chair. That's right, he was so drunk, that he passed out sitting in the upright position, as he was sitting at his computer. I thought this was hysterical, so I of course took a picture of him passed out, sitting up (you can see this picture at the bottom right hand corner of my blog page). However, this funny situation soon took a plunge into disaster. He eventually was woken up. Not by me, or some other noise, but because he threw up all over his desk, on himself, on the floor, and a little bit on his computer. It was possibly the most disgusting thing I have witnessed happen in my room. That was just a one time thing though, right? Wrong. That's what I thought as well. But sure enough, Quentin decided to drink again last night (by himself, might I add) and the same thing happened. He first feel asleep in his chair. I didn't think anything of it, and I just left him there. It was getting late, and it was a school night, so I just turned off the lights and went to bed. After all, he's not my responsibility, so I just left him passed out at him computer. Well, sure enough after I was asleep for about an hour, I was woken up by the sound of him throwing up all over himself, his desk, the floor, and his laptop. Again! Expect for this time, he was so out of it, that even after throwing up, he didn't even wake up and realize what he had done. He just lied his head down in his own vomit. So I got up, nudged him and had him clean up his vomit and get it bed.

So what have I learned from this? If Quentin ever falls asleep sitting up at his computer, always have him get up, drink a bottle of water, and get in bed. As for excitement goes, that's probably the most exciting thing that happens on my weekends.

The Beginning

Hello to the world of blogging!

Here I sit, at approximately 1:50 am in my dorm room on a beautiful night here in Eugene, OR. I am nearing the completion of the winter term here at the University of Oregon, which means spring is right around the corner. This is good news, for a couple of reasons. First, it's great news because the bad, rainy weather in Eugene will soon be easing up. Also, daylight savings is right around the corner, which means longer days filled with sunshine. And finally, because summer break will be only 10 weeks away once the winter term is done. So just in case you were curious, as I can image most of you are, that is just one of the things that is currently on the mind of Cameron Scott. The bad news about the term coming to and end is finals. That's always stressful, and it's especially stressful for me this term, because I'm taking a calculus course, and I have to be honest, I have no clue what is going on. But then again, I don't think anyone really knows what is going on. Even long ago, when Libeniz and Newton and all who are responsible for inventing calculus, probably didn't truly know what was going on. But I digress. Actually, I'm not really sure if I am digressing, because I'm not really sure that the main point of this post is. I guess I'm just wasting time and typing my thoughts out on the computer. So I'll try to not waste too much of your precious time and wrap it up. The bottom line is, this is my newly aquired blog, and I made it with the intention to give people the option to sort of see what is going on in the "exciting" life of mine. I'm going to try to post something on here weekly, whether it is random pictures I took, or just a story about the awkward, yet entertaining events that transpired sometime during my week. Hopefully people keep up on my blog, so I'm not just writing and posting things on here for no reason at all. Enjoy and thanks for reading! Take care.

-C Scott
